Discovering my Ancestry // inspired by John Rombough, Dene contemporary woodland painter. This is the first of a series that explores my Dene heritage, studying indigenous artists and creating pieces inspired by them.

Indigenous Enough // This is a self-portrait that portrays my struggle with my identity. As a white-passing native, I didn't always connect with my heritage. Since exploring & learning from great teachers I accept myself. I am proud to be indigenous. I may look white, but real life isn't black and white, there is more to my identity.
